Frequently Asked Questions
What are your qualifications?
I have a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I'm a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I'm currently pursuing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Are your services covered by OHIP?
Unfortunately, psychotherapy is not covered under OHIP (hopefully one day it is!). However, some insurance and benefits programs may cover your therapy, but this depends on your plan which you should check before you begin. Please inquire about therapist services with a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and find out about the eligibility requirements as well as rates of coverage that your insurance or benefit program provides.

What happens in the
consultation?
A consultation provides you with an opportunity to communicate your needs and goals and to find out if we will be a good fit to work with one another. Please note, it is not a therapy session. It's a time to ask any questions you may have and regarding the process of psychotherapy, my experience, training, credentials, times, fees, and any other related matters. In order to book your free 15-minute phone consultation, please contact me via email or phone to set up a suitable time and date.

How do I pay for therapy sessions?
I accept payment via e-transfer, Visa, and Mastercard. I will provide you with a receipt after receiving your payment which you can then share with your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Do I need a referral from my family doctor, physician or general practitioner for your services?
A referral is not needed in order to book a session with me. However, I’d recommend to check with your insurance provider to see if they require a referral prior to commencing therapy. Some insurance providers do require a referral.
